Families of the Incarcerated is a non-profit organization sponsored by the Archdiocese of Los Angeles and paid for through donations. We need your help to reach an often forgotten population here in the United States: the families of the incarcerated. Most of the time, these are elderly mothers, U.S. citizen children and “single” mothers. They all are low-income families who have barely enough money to support themselves. We need your help to reach out to these individuals who are in desperate need. Our mission is to help them through support groups, educational workshops, healing services, and free transportation to the prisons to visit their loved ones. We need to stop “recidivism” and “intergenerational crime.”

Victims' Ministry

“There can be no keener revelation of a society's soul than the way in which it treats its children.”
-Nelson Mandela

The Office of Restorative Justice, Archdiocese of Los Angeles, provides pastoral care for offenders, victims, and families of both. We employ education and outreach to effect changes in public policy and to transform the criminal justice system. We are a faith-filled community of hope who witness and offer by our ministry compassion, love and healing justice to those affected by the criminal justice system: victims, the incarcerated, and families of victims and offenders.

The Office of Restorative Justice is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization. We provide personal and spiritual support to incarcerated men and women, their families, and to victims of violent crime.

We are called to serve each other, to work for justice, and to love one another. It is our responsibility to help the most vulnerable, the ones who are uncounted, and the underserved. They are families with a loved one “behind bars” and it is especially difficult for the children.

I invite you to work and advocate on behalf of these families.
